The Cabri Story

During his time at Eurocopter working on the EC120 program in the 1990’s Bruno Guimbal developed a working demonstrator of a two-seat piston helicopter. This machine incorporated technologies and safety features that were common place on modern turbine helicopters, but were at the time out of the reach of piston engine helicopter owners and operators.

Guimbal- Out to make the ride better

Every helicopter has its down side, and the Cabri is no different.  A slight  vibration occurs  during flight and seems to increase as the airspeed increases. This vibration although obviously present, seems to be soon forgotten once the Cabri is put through its paces.  However, the folks in France don't enjoy letting physics get the better of them and its almost like a persistent thought in their heads don't let them sleep until annoying problems are solved.   So with this desire ...
